3D-Printed Teeth with Multicolored Layers as a Tool for Evaluating Cavity Preparation by Dental Students

Accurate assessment of dental student performance during preclinical operative mannequin courses is an essential milestone within the educational process. Training on novel, multicolored 3D-printed teeth resulted in higher performances students comparison to training standard, monochromatic plastic teeth. However, low reliability students’ grading using was reported. The aim this study verify whether use 3D can (1) provide better inter- and intra-examiner reliability, (2) assess effect instructors’ experience their reliability. novel tooth analogs consisted digitally planned containing green, yellow, red stratifications according increasing depths preparation.
